Help
Secret World Wildlife Rescue to go on being there 24 hours a
day, every day to keep on saving and releasing injured, sick
and orphaned wildlife. Sign up for Challenge 24.
It's Spring and Pauline's kitchen is yet again home to orphans needing extra special care - a round the clock job which , like all our work, doesn't stop just because the sun goes down! We desperately need our supporters to take on 'Challenge24' so we can remain on hand 24/7 to rescue and care for any wildlife in need. All you need to do is think of an idea including the number 24. Simple!
Past support from people like you meant we
could save Terra, our lively otter cub who, in between hurtling
around for exercise is doing well with her twice-daily swimming
lessons in the bath and is now eating small troutlings so her
bottle feeds are reducing. The 'cubby hole' in Pauline's
kitchen is her home at the moment but it will soon be needed
for all the badger cubs that come to Secret World.
Aquarius,
our first badger cub of the season, is minute and is still demanding
feeds every 3 to 4 hours.
Sleeping soundly in his incubator on the kitchen worksurface he calls through the night so the lights go on around 3am and Pauline patiently settles to feed this special baby.
It may be a mad house but it all gets done 24 hours a day and with over 4,000 animals rescued and cared for a year, it's a lot of work!
That's what Secret World is about - 24/7 care for wildlife but it all costs a lot of money. So please help us by signing up for Secret World Wildlife Rescue's new fundraising initiative - 'Challenge24' today and we'll send you a pack full of fundraising ideas. When you sign up for 'Challenge24' you will be helping to fund 'round the clock' rescue and care for injured and orphaned wildlife. Could you dream up a fundraising event incorporating the '24' theme to raise funds to ensure that each and every casualty at Secret World is given the love and care they so need?
It's simple and heaps of fun… all you need is:
- A single 24 hour challenge - perhaps take part in a 24 hour walk or cycle challenge;
- A number of events over several days or months - as long as it all adds up to 24 hours we don't mind!
- Any fundraising idea utilising the number 24! Mmmm, maybe time to have 24 tea and cake breaks!
- A payroll giving promotion with the aim of signing up at least 24 people!
We've got masses of ideas for challenges - Easy, Medium or Difficult for you to think about but don't be afraid to do something that hasn't already been suggested. Often the best events are the ones that haven't been done before! Whatever you choose, concentrate on having fun and we're sure if will be a roaring success.
To take part simply complete the online form below and we'll send you further information and your free fundraising pack. Alternatively you can ring Lynette or Debbie on Tel: 01278 783250.
