Secret World Wildlife Rescue specialises in the rescue, rehabilitation and eventual release of orphaned and injured wild creatures. It is run entirely on donations and runs the only 24 hours wildlife rescue service in the South West of England.
In each year approximately 4,000 wild animals are cared for by Secret World Wildlife Rescue. Together with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, we continue to care for all manner of creatures, from the tiniest harvest mice and bats to badgers, swans, foxes, deer and of course otters.
Badger Trust Success
Secret World Wildlife Rescue is absolutely thrilled to hear that the Badger Trust has been successful in the appeal against the Welsh Assembly Government. It would appear that the judges ruling would not allow badger culling in the future and this will have repercussions not only in Wales but in England as well. However, we remain cautious until we hear the full position because we still believe that badger killing will still be on the agenda of the Welsh Assembly, our own Government and many other farming bodies.
But for now well done the Badger Trust for taking on this very political argument which is heart felt from Secret World Wildlife Rescue and their supporters - and the badgers!!
